A Galapiat Cirque / Moïse Bernier show
Circus & Music - Creation 2022 - all audiences - Indoor show - from 6 years old - about 1h15
A cry of love to life and its differences.
A tender and rock'n roll clown, a revolutionary Breeze.
An ode to freedom, with the invitation of artists from different backgrounds (music, theatre, acrobat and author) ready to shake up the codes of representation...
What if everything was possible? Just once, there, like that?
It's as much about the feeling of being naked when you are in front of others, the fear of everyone in this world; or the freedom to finally claim your identity without it causing a scandal.
To be free, once the risk has been taken!
That's what happens when you leave behind your nice habits as a musician, a circus performer, a citizen....
From the multi-talented collective Galapiat Cirque (La Brise de la Pastille, Risque ZérO,
Parasites...), Moïse Bernier has been walking around for years with his agile, exuberant and
and so endearing, a specialist of the Chinese mast. He is accompanied by musicians
musicians who virtuously prolong the moods of this tormented clown: a music too
and tribal music.
Our Sans-Culotte is a new and different version of our Brise de la Pastille.
The Breeze blows where you don't expect it... It is a revolutionary wind. This
revolution is that of our hearts which dare, of our lips which speak, of our bodies which
bodies that submit to the void, to risk, to vertigo! To emotion. To others.
La Brise de la Pastille blows and declines...
La Brise de la Pastille is a circus show for a clown-acrobat with existential questions and a musician.
Created in 2018 in Reunion Island, this show is open to all audiences and can be performed in public spaces, non-dedicated places as well as in theatres and marquees. It is said to be a "cry of love to life and its differences". It has been touring for almost 5 years and each time it raises more questions, emotions and sensations. It upsets the audience, frightens them, upsets them, makes them laugh or cry. From Reunion Island, in the middle of the Indian Ocean, in South Korea, in Italy, in France, in the mountain pastures or in the forest, at the foot of a chapel or under the stars, we work on this show. We rewrite it, we analyse
every word, every note, every tear, every laugh it provokes.
In 2020, this show gave birth to l'Essaim. Accompanied by people we didn't know before, we propose unique and participative shows. To rediscover a more committed, adventurous and social circus. To propose an art form that is not disconnected from the realities of people and life, an art form that is connected and in touch with reality. We invite residents, neighbours and employees to create with us during a residency of varying length. We adapt to their bodies, their words. We listen to them and then we take charge of them too. They become co-creators. Creating as a
a human adventure. Deactivating creation and nourishing it. Offering and sharing this time. And then make the show a unique experience for the audience. We offer ourselves the luxury and the sweet madness of always reinventing our show.
In 2022, in the form of a carte blanche, it is called Sans-Culotte: an ode to freedom, with the invitation of artists from different backgrounds (music, theatre, acrobat and author) ready to shake up the codes of the show....
This breeze blows where you least expect it...
"You saw, over there!" shouts the clown who disrupts the beginning of the concert.
This is the starting point of the show; this questioning of the present moment, of representation, of the artistic object, this perpetual mise en abîme of the show object, in the service of this quest for urgency, for wonder, for what makes community.
This is how this new and different version of our show was born: Sans-Culotte.
La Brise - guest artists - a place.
Creating a community. At what point do we achieve this? Here, in this neighbourhood? Here, in this city or society? In this theatre? Nothing is more illusory, fleeting, fragile and yet we want it so much!
The Breeze is a revolutionary wind. This revolution is that of our hearts that dare, of our lips that speak, of the body that submits to the void, to the risk, to the vertigo!
To emotion.
To others.
For the first edition of our Sans-Culottes, we launched challenges, opened up possibilities for interaction with the public, invitations to reflection and action.
We have opened up opportunities for interaction with the audience, invitations to transgression during the performance.

To emotion.
To others.
For the first edition of our Sans-Culottes, we launched challenges, opened up
interaction with the audience, invitations to transgression during the performance.
A transgression to create community, not a destructive transgression or one of protest that would not a destructive or protesting transgression that would have emptied the head, no! A creative transgression to shake up our codes, our immobilisms, our indifference or our fine skills; those of the artist, in the first place!
We impose this guideline on ourselves from the moment we write, in the work of the musician, the actor, the clown, the acrobat or any other artist we invite.
With the strength of this jostling, this way of putting on a show, we want to include you. To include in the creation process the very places that will receive us, by going beyond the simple reception and provision of a stage or space. As cultural actors, you are obviously the bearers of problems, desires, possibilities and impossibilities. We therefore want the show to be open to your requests or questions.
Making a live show rather than offering a product.
During a meeting and a shared reflection, we will integrate into our show
the suggestions or problems of the place that welcomes us. For three days, in this place, we will rewrite this show before delivering it, at the end of the third day. A living show, therefore, which only has meaning at this moment, in this precise place.
We will not solve anything, but we will try, we will do together, we will invent
a particular moment, alive, light, deep, inviting us to play with our sincerity, in the present of the performance... to question ourselves on the codes of the performance, on the beginning, the before, the after, during!
To push back the walls, the shackles, the conventions, for an evening.
Do what you want to do, push a cursor, a desire.
Go from the ridiculous to the grandiose.
At the crossroads of the breeze, the swarm, and in situ projects.
Mixing together and reinventing yourself.
It's live, live, live in the face!
A new way of blowing for the breeze, of offering a show to the public.
Live writing, projected, given to the audience.
Artists who meet and dare, together!
A project initiated by Moïse Bernier.

But also with :
Marine Freslon in production & diffusion, or baroness
Mathias Lejosne for sound and stage management
Elodie Rudelle on lighting
For the theatrical part, we have already performed Sans-Culotte with the actress and stuntwoman Delphine Dupin, and with Darianne Koszinski and her flying rope for the circus part. We met Darianne when Galapiat staged the 30th class of the CNAC in 2019 (On n'est pas là pour sucer des Glaces).
But also some baron-ne-s have already been part of the adventure, of all ages, of all professions... Friends, children, guests, spectators and accomplices, everyone has a place to come and shout, sing or dance! dance! And you, who do you think of?
