We hope for March as invigorating as en ideal spring !
Here, the sap is rising again, even if times remain troubled and sometimes chilling, not only in our cultural sector but worldwide.
And why are we talking about sap?! Precisely because we planted a forest just two weeks ago. 450 trees on our site in Minihy-Tréguier. It was a compensatory measure following the creation of our bigtop platform.

After having crossed the roads of Brittany last August for their premieres in public spaces, after having gone to Germany for their big top premieres, after having gone to Malmö for their first concert, Galapiat Cirque's Muscle Pain Crew is getting ready to play their theater PREMIERES as part of the unmissable SPRING festival, on March 6, 20 and 23 (in 3 different venues in Normandy)!
Jonas Séradin, Ivan Aubrée & Nicolas Gastard are also back in action with their yourte show Préviens les autres. And once again, it's at the SPRING festival in Normandy on March 23, 25, 26, 29 and 30.
But back to March 21 and 22, in addition to Fanny's birthday (on the 22nd) these are also the only 2 dates for the BLANC show this season. It's a fact that, despite rave reviews in the specialist and national press, programmers have not embraced the show. Some said it was “too borderline”, others said it was “not for my audience”, and then there were quite a few who didn't bother to say. Yes, BLANC is a scratchy show, we're aware of it, and we remember it the next morning when we're making coffee. But isn't that precisely where this show belongs in today's circus landscape? Anyway, we knew that starting a show with a 10km run was a bit of a stupid idea. Anyway, it's in Belgium, in Ostend at De Grote Post, that we'll be having a lot of fun performing and running along the North Sea.
On March 22 and 23, L'âne & la carotte will be at L'Odyssée d'Orvault in the Pays de la Loire, (then at Pantin from March 26 to 28 ). And performing in this region reminds us of the budgetary drain on culture by the Pays de la Loire regional council.
Last but not least, March also sees Galapiat return to Poland after the MOST adventure of summer 2024. This time, Sébastien Wojdan will be experimenting with a new training program for emerging artists, focusing on the risks of “being” on stage. And it's in Lublin with Carnaval Sztukmistrów!
In fact, our links with Poland, Finland, Mexico and the Netherlands are very important to us, and we're taking the time to strengthen them. In this international dynamic, the bike and the big top appear to be lasting links. We'll tell you more soon.
